Hello and welcome to the website of 2009 Tour of Ireland winner, Russell Downing.

After a successful 2009 and ranking Number 1 in the UK for the second year running I am now embarking on my first year with Team Sky.

It has been my dream to ride in the Pro Tour and I have trained hard in the last few months to ensure that I am on top form for the early season races, I'm thoroughly looking forward to an exciting season in Team Sky colours.

The support for me has been unbelievable and I hope that I can repay that by success, in what I am certain will be the best British pro team ever.
